Welcome!

Come roll with the Jackson family on our journey through life! Ha...so that was a corny opening...anyway, I hope you all enjoy our little family and all our "happenings"! :-)

Spring Fevah!

Sweet sweet spring! Heck, just warmer, sunny weather is good for me! I am a big fan of the outdoors and have been waiting for this weather to hang out in the "hood" (neighborhood) with all the other kiddos! We had so much fun today with Macyn. We took her and the dogs for a short stroll around the neighborhood and then decided to let her burn some rubber in the cul-de-sac. Macyn loved hanging out with all the other kids on our street, though some of the older boys weren't so thrilled. As one of them breezed by me on his bike I heard him mumble..."jeez why does everybody have their babies out today!" Chad and I cracked up...such a typical "dude" thing to say! Macyn's buddy (future bff perhaps) Kaitlyn came outside to play with her. Macyn tried to mow her over with the walker but Kaitlyn was ready to turn the tables on her! It was so cute to watch Kaitlyn push Macyn around in her walker! The picture is not the best...but you get the gist!

Sweet Sweet Spring....break!

So after driving through the night we finally made it to Bradenton Florida! YAY...sunshine...warm weather....and the first day of Spring. Who can ask for anything more? We finally made it to our destination point, and thankfully Miss Shuggies was very well-behaved in the car. She slept and only woke up through the night when we had to stop for gas. And, she had the best time at IHOP at 6 a.m with another little 7 month old baby girl. They sat in their little high chairs and squeaked and squaked at each other like pterodactyls and banged their spoons on the table. It was so cute! Well for me anyway...maybe not so much for others in the restaurant!

Anyhoo not really sure where I am going with this post except....WOOO HOOOO it is time for some fun in the sun! And maybe some quality retail therapy as well!! :-)

The Brocolli Blues

So I don't have a funny picture for this post, although I wish I did. I fed Macyn brocolli last night for the first time...hmmm did I say fed, more like attempted to feed her brocolli. She has always been a very good eater and never really disliked anything...until she met brocolli. The poor little girl spit out her food and started gagging, and I couldn't help but laugh a little. Sometimes she just seems so big, I feel like she knew what she was doing when she gagged. I hope she learns to like brocolli...it is one of my favorite veggies. Just sayin! :-)

At 7 months Macyn is such an active little thing. Once she finally starts crawling I won't be able to keep up with her! She is all over the place in her walker...racing down the hall, wheeling around and then back down the hall again to watch her fur baby brother and sister out the back window! It just seems like it was yesterday I was a an uber-fat shrek footed preggers!! Oh how time flies!

Maybe I'll be a Vegetarian like Mommy!

So my Daddy decided to give me some meat tonight for dinner... Mommy suggested it actually because she read that little bambinos my age should have some form of protein. Chicken and Gravy was the flavor of choice, but it kind of smelled like a mixture between my dirty diapers and tuna fish! Anyway, you can see by my expression above that I wasn't so sure about the taste or texture either! Maybe I'll try the filet mignon next time!

Just Starting Out

So, I have been thinking of starting a blog to capture all of the fun Macyn moments and exciting learning opportunities that come with being a first-time parent...and after a few failed attempts to upload images to Facebook today I decided to go for it!! Woo hoo for blogging! Maybe I can keep up with this a little better than I am keeping up with Macyn's baby book!
